I added a new tutorial about Setting up Faceposer. Ever since the migration to Steampipe, Faceposer has been a bit odd to set up and a few people have contacted me about it in the past. Hopefully, this guide will help clear some things up.
I added two new Tutorials today.
- Improving Func_Precipitation shows you how to make the stock rain effect in Half-Life 2 look nicer without code or material changes.
- How to Add StopSchedule shows you how to add the hidden, but functional, StopSchedule command to Hammer so you can use it with aiscripted_schedule.
I’ve added two new Tutorials – Making Func_Dustcloud Not Suck, which shows you how to repair the rather ugly func_dustcloud entity, and Scripting Shooting with Func_Tracktrain, which teaches you how to make a Strider fire at an invisible, moving target for dramatic shooting effects!
I’ve added a Tutorials section to the page. For my first tutorial, I look at Half-Life 2’s Standoff system, which is a little known entity that causes the Combine to tactically use cover.
